The Artist’s Book is a unique, limited edition of 40 handmade books. I layered handwritten letters, diary extracts, faded family photographs, newspaper clippings and my own voice to create a unique historial account spanning five generations. To emphasize the notion of the women’s lives and stories being connected by a time line, the pages fold out into a concertina-style book.
Each artist’s book is presented in a custom-made, cloth-covered
portfolio box, imprinted with the book title and artist's name, and tied with
a blue ribbon which echoes a line of blue text recurring in the book.
